Streamlight's latest pistol weaponlight, the TLR-1 HP-X, introduces a high candela beam output for the TLR-1 line, making it an excellent choice for illuminating distant, low-lit environments up to 555m and overwhelming an opponent's vision. The design features a slightly redesigned housing, replacing the standard TLR-1 lighthead with a dual fuel HP-X head, which delivers an output of up to 1,300 lumens with 77,000 candela using Streamlight?s SL-B9 batteries, or 1,000 lumens with 53,000 candela with CR123A batteries, achieving impressive throws of 555m (SL-B9) and 460m (CR123A). Furthermore, the dial switch has been replaced with an ambidextrous paddle switch, providing positive feedback for momentary or constant-on modes, allowing users to intuitively actuate the switch with either hand. The TLR-1 also includes a programmable strobe mode.
For convenience, the two batteries powering the light can be easily swapped by removing the hinged HP-X head, enabling quick battery changes without detaching the light from the pistol, thus facilitating hassle-free replacements. The light employs a tool-less rail grip clamp system for secure mounting and detachment, ensuring safety without placing hands in front of the pistol muzzle. The package includes a set of mounting keys, allowing compatibility with a variety of full-sized and compact pistols. Featuring a 6000 series aluminium for its housing, and a high-temperature, impact-resistant BOROFLOAT polycarbonate lens, the light boasts an IPX7 waterproof rating, permitting submersion in up to 1m of water for 30 minutes.
