The latest addition to the Holosun Micro Tubular Optics family, the Advanced Rifle Optic Core (ARO), succeeds the budget-friendly and rugged 403R and 503 red dots. With a wider 22mm window and a redesigned housing and mount, the ARO upholds Holosun's renowned performance standards at a reasonable price.
Precision-milled from a 22mm 6061 aluminium block, the ARO features a spacious 22mm window that enhances the field of view for swift target acquisition and reference shooting, while minimising glass distortion for optimal clarity and accuracy in viewing its multi-reticle system. Shooters can manually adjust the reticle brightness across 12 levels, with 10 settings for daylight and 2 for night, allowing for adaptability in various conditions. The integrated Shake Wake sensor conserves battery life by turning off the reticle after 10 minutes of inactivity (default setting), while the highly sensitive motion sensor reactivates the optic at the slightest movement. As part of the updated housing design, Holosun has improved the mount for the ARO, featuring a lightweight yet robust pillar mount design that aligns the optics height to 1.63 inches lower 1/3 co-witness height, ideally matching the height of Holosun's magnifier series.
As an enclosed optic, it protects the reticle from environmental factors, with nitrogen purged and airtight sealing that prevents debris and fogging within the housing, safeguarding both the emitter and inner glass. The ARO includes a programmable multi-reticle system, enabling users to switch between a 2 MOA dot, a 65 MOA circle, or a combination of both, all while utilising high-quality glass with a multi-layered coating that enhances light transmission and reduces glare. The reticle adjustment allows for 50 MOA of windage and elevation, with adjustments in increments of 0.5 MOA via its exposed, snag-free turrets, facilitating precise fine-tuning of the ARO.
This optic operates effectively in temperatures ranging from -30 to 60 degrees Celsius, making it suitable for harsh environments, including maritime conditions.
