Compared to the standard VFC MP7 Gen 2 AEG, this lite version is a simplified offering that aims to boost overall reliability by removing the advanced features that the standard MP7 Gen AEG had, like the empty-magazine cut-off mechanism, thus switching to a standardized one piece magazine follower, allowing for a more standardized gearbox configuration for a more reliable and consistent cycle. However, it still kept the next-gen Micro Switch trigger and factory MOSFET, allowing the user to run 11.1v LiPo batteries for a much more reactive trigger response and overall efficiency. The nozzle and tappet plate have been completely redesigned.
The new "safety-release" tappet plate prevents breakage during jams, while the reinforced nozzle interface prevents accidental detaching. The gearbox timing has been fine-tuned for better synchronization. Like the other MP7 platforms by VFC, this lite version also uses the MP7-specific M12-1mm thread / 12mm RH for mounting muzzle attachments. Overall, if you are looking for a "no-nonsense" type MP7 AEG that is guaranteed to work, the VFC MP7A1 Lite Version may be for you!
