S&W M629 "Trust Me" Edition
This pistol was a sidearm for Inspector Sledge Hammer from an American satirical Police SitCom between 1986 and 1988, with a total of two seasons containing 41 episodes. The series takes place in San Francisco, California and has clearly taken inspiration from the Dirty Harry films. However, Sledge Hammer would be a more absurd and more over-the-top Police Officer than Inspector Callahan. With the emphasis of Hammer?s prized possession, the Smith & Wesson Model 629 Classic. Just like Dirty Harry?s M29, but with a customised grip of an engraved Sledgehammer and the frame in a Stainless-Steel finish instead of a Blued finish.
The real steel Smith & Wesson Model 629 was introduced in 1978 as the stainless steel version of the venerable Model 29 which had a blued finish, but since this is airsoft and the gun isn't made of steel, this particular M629 is modeled after a more modern variant with a weighted barrel and a rubberized grip, which means this is slightly heavier than its sister gun the Umarex S&W M29.
This M629 airsoft replica has the correct markings and comes with 6 shells as it should. This revolver stands out from most CO2-powered metal revolvers because it has an adjustable hop-up, making this gun arguably more accurate than most airsoft revolvers on the market today.
The Umarex S&W M629 comes in different lengths and colors; this particular one is a 6.5-inch variant in a silver finish with the "Trust Me" white grip panels.
