The Tanaka revolver series is fantastically built and boasts some of the best and most realistic trigger and hammer actions you will find in an Airsoft gun. This is their take on the popular Smolt revolver, with the real Smolt being a highly customized, albeit bastardized, hybrid custom revolver that takes the smooth action of the S&W K-frame M19 and combines that with a highly accurate Colt Python barrel. It was designed primarily for Precision Pistol Competitions as it was not a factory-made revolver; rather, the SMOLT or SMYTHON is a gunsmith-driven design and is basically the pinnacle of custom revolvers in the U.S.
This particular Airsoft revolver by Tanaka Works is a high-quality gas-powered replica of the Smolt and is equipped with faux wood square butt grip panels. Made using high-quality zinc-dust reinforced polymer resin, it is built to be durable, with a lot of internal parts being made of metal. Internally, the Smolt is designed to run on HFC 134a gas, but can take standard 12kg green gas with zero issues. The revolver uses Tanaka's Pegasus system, where the gas is filled directly into the cylinder, and that the cylinder acts as a rotary magazine. No shells needed, sure, but think twice if it sounds unrealistic to you. In order to accommodate the Pegasus system, the rest of the internals are built like the real steel version, with parts being interchangeable, allowing users to upgrade the action like the real deal! A must-have for Airsoft revolver enthusiasts.
