The M40 Rifle was adopted by the United States Marines due to the need for a standard sniper rifle, first introduced in 1966, and was based on the tried and true Remington Model 700 bolt action rifle. Each M40 rifle was modified by USMC armorers at Marine Corps Base Quantico. Overtime the M40 had seen multiple facelifts in order to modernize it and its variants are still being used today

This rifle is made of a metal receiver as well as a real wood stock, just like the real deal, but the main feature of this airsoft gun which also makes it even more realistic is that this gun is a shell-ejecting gun! Meaning each shell holds 1 BB and you would have to load the shells one by one into this rifle, just like the real deal!
The gun is gas-operated and gas is charged into the stock next to the hop-up adjustment dial which is located in front of the magazine plate. The magazine plate can be opened too, simply push the latch in front of the trigger guard so you would not have to eject shells one by one when unloading the rifle.
