The Streamlight TLR7x is the latest iteration from Streamlight for compact pistol lights. This small, compact pistol light produces an impressive 500 lumens with a candela output of 5,000 and a beam range of 141 meters. It's a fantastic addition to your compact pistol, aiding in illuminating areas for easier positive identification in low-light situations. The TLR7x design allows for a flush fit for your compact pistol, minimizing the chances of snagging when drawing your weapon, while still providing a useful light source despite its compact size of 6.55 cm.
The new revision of the TLR7x is now a multi-fueled light that accepts either standard or rechargeable CR123A batteries, such as the Streamlight SL-B9 USB rechargeable battery (not included). It can run for 1.5 hours with CR123A batteries or 1 hour with the SL-B9. To turn off the light for long-term storage with the battery installed, simply twist the light reflector until you hear a click, preventing any accidental discharge. The light reflector is made from high-temperature, shock-mounted, impact-resistant, scratch-resistant BOROFLOAT glass, boasting a lifetime of 50,000 hours, making this a durable weapon light for intense, long-term use.
Like its siblings, the TLR7x features ambidextrous paddle switches that activate the light. You can hold press to turn enable the momentary on or press and click to keep it on continuously, with the option to program the light for strobe function. The paddle switches can be swapped for higher or lower options to accommodate the shooter's preferred length of travel when activating the switch. The light can be mounted with one hand; simply snap it on and tighten the mount to ensure there's no wobble, allowing you to keep your hand away from the muzzle while attaching and detaching the light. You can also replace the battery without uninstalling the light by unscrewing the light head to access the battery compartment, replacing it with a fresh battery, and then re-screwing the light head to make it ready for use again. With its design, the TLR7x is also IPX7 rated, capable of withstanding wet environments, with a water depth of up to 1 meter for 30 minutes.
This version of the TLR7x includes an integrated contoured remote switch, a tail switch that extends to the position of the middle finger on the pistol grip. This allows you to activate the light using your middle finger, which is particularly useful for single-handed shooting when your support hand may be occupied. Designed specifically for Glock Gen 4 and Gen 5 models, this contoured remote is molded around the bottom of the trigger guard, ensuring a low-profile, snag-free design.
