Gewehr 43

The Gewehr 43 or Karabiner 43 is a 7.92×57mm Mauser caliber semi-automatic rifle developed by Germany during World War II. First introduced in 1943, the G43 was developed in response to the new semi-automatic SVT-38s and SVT-40s used by the Soviets. The G43’s ability to fire semi automatic allowed for a significant increase of individual firepower compared to the standard Kar-98 bolt action rifles of the time with over 402,700 rifles manufactured before the war’s end. The airsoft G43 however is an extremely niche model with only one airsoft Gewher 43 in existence in the form of the high quality but expensive Shoei Airsoft G43 GBBR. We certainly hope to see more airsoft G43s in the future.
