The SIG P320, which succeeds the Beretta M9 pistol, currently serves as the official service pistol for the United States Military. It is available in two variants: the full-sized M17 and the compact M18, both of which have become standard issue across all branches of the military. In 2019, SIG AIR launched the highly anticipated Proforce P320 series, developed in collaboration with VFC. This series features a 1:1 replica of the P320 M17 and M18, showcasing modern aesthetics and innovative features, including the removable Fire Control System, adjustable Hop-up via the Recoil Rod, and dual-system compatibility with steel-reinforced internals, enabling the use of either green gas or CO2 magazines without requiring modifications to the pistol.
As a Redwolf Custom pistol, this particular M17 has been upgraded with a distinctive aluminum slide, replacing the stock slide. The slide features a unique angular porting cut, crafted by our in-house gunsmith, and is finished with a Black Gold (H-375) Cerakote application by our certified Hillbilly223 Cerakote applicator. This custom M17 is one of only two produced, and the lightening porting reduces the overall weight of the slide while enhancing its durability and the felt recoil experience. The Cerakote coating provides an abrasion-resistant ceramic layer, minimising wear and increasing the slide's hardness.
The ported slide reveals a robust steel outer barrel equipped with a tapped 14mm CCW thread adapter, allowing for the installation of tracer units or muzzle devices. Our gunsmith meticulously optimises the internal performance of the M17, ensuring a smoother operation when manipulating and firing the pistol. Users will notice a significant improvement in the smoothness of the slide cycling, eliminating the grainy slide travel often experienced with stock pistols. The trigger mechanism has also been upgraded for high performance shooting, replacing the standard trigger with a flat trigger that features minimal travel before breaking the light trigger wall. This modification reduces the time required to engage the firing mechanism and facilitates faster follow-up shots during high-pressure situations. To further enhance durability, the fire control mechanisms have been upgraded to steel components, including the slide release, magazine release, and safety selector, thereby increasing the pistol's longevity.
