The EPS-2 Enhanced Polymer Stock by PTS is built upon the success of its predecessor, EPS-2 offers enhanced functionality and improved design. In its redesign, the overall length and size of the stock have been reduced compared the original EPS stock. The overall length and width of the EPS-2 is very similar to that of a standard crane stock's visual balance on shorter rifles. Despite the size reduction, the usable internal cavity has been increased, making it easier to insert Li-Po or Li-Ion batteries in the cheek tubes and/or vertical cavity.
The EPS-2 also incorporates a stock pull adjustment lever first seen on the EPS-C compact stock which features a fixed center ridge to prevent accidental activation of the lever and collapse of the stock. To extend or collapse the stock, one should use a fist or beer can grip, and the fingers will press on the lever side opposite to your palm. Removing the stock is greatly simplified by simply pressing down on the rear of the lever so no more struggling with small heavily spring levers like on other stocks.
The EPS-2's cheek weld maintains the EPS curve, perfectly fitting facial contours for enhanced comfort and stability during use. The buttpad is slightly slimmer and rubberized with the EP dot texture for improved comfort and grip. The smooth sloping front end of the stock prevents the rifle from catching on its sling or other gear. QD (Quick Detach) swivel sockets are positioned on both sides of the stock.
Durability remains a key characteristic of the EPS-2 with the same level of ruggedness as its predecessor. As will all PTS Enhanced Polymer products, it is constructed from the authentic Dupont Zytel polymer resin, ensuring superior resistance to wear and damage.
