Description

The T26 Tanker Varient of the Garand rifle never saw service but another 18-inched barrel Garand called the Pacific Warfare Board Rifle did see very limited service during the late stages of the Pacific Theater of World War 2 however it was never adopted by the United States Armed forces. The Tanker name was invented after the war as a marketing gimmick for commercial Garands built on welded demilled receivers.

This particular Marushin M1 Garand is a faithful replica of a commercial Garand that fooled a lot of people even to this day. Essentially a slightly shorter Garand, this airsoft M1 Garand T26 Tanker is as close as you can get to the real steel counterpart without getting the real steel T26 Tanker, which is also quite a rare find nowadays. Marushin is the only airsoft manufacturer that has been manufacturing gas blowback M1 Garands for over 15 years, with some updates and variations here and there.

The operation of the Marushin M1 Garand is also quite similar to its real steel counterpart. First, pull the bolt back and lock it in place by pushing the silver tab inside the rifle, next insert gas in the bottom (we do not recommend using green gas, weaker gas like HFC134a or duster gas is much more preferable for the overall longevity on the system). After which, push in the en bloc clip with rounds in it, Powerstroke the bolt and you get 8 shots before the bolt locks back and the en bloc clip ejects out of the gun with a "Ping", just like the real thing! Although the "ping" is not as pronounced as the real steel, it is still such a joy to shoot it and experience how the real M1 rifle would behave. For more information on how a Marushin M1 Garand works, here is an old video of the 8mm version of the Marushin M1 Garand, but it works the same as the version we have over here:
