The Marushin Kar98K is probably one of the finest and detailed airsoft reproductions of the iconic rifle by Mauser. Every area of this rifle is finely looked over to ensure when the shooter can shoulder it, it is the closest to the real steel counterpart it can be.
The Marusin Kar98K's body is constructed using walnut which contributes to its name "heavyweight". Aside from the weight, the walnut is rich and looks as if it is slightly weathered, lending to an aged appearance. The action of the rifle is smooth and very satisfying to operate. As you charge the bolt, the sound of the mechanism working is like a metal choir!
Adding to the realism of the rifle, it is shell loaded with the use of cartridge (stripper) clips. You simply align the shells into the chamber and push down to load all 5 rounds a once! As you work the action, each shell will be extracted and a new one will be loaded and ready to fire.
Internally, the Kar98K has an adjustable hop-up and is recommended to be used with HFC134A but you can also use Green Gas, though prolonged green gas use is not entirely recommended.
