One of the most versatile GBB Pistol Carbine kits out there, the SMC9 is a sleek package. This gun is based on the G&G GTP-9 gas blowback Airsoft pistol, but with a complete replacement upper receiver to make the ultimate CQB carbine with plenty of kick, noise, and performance. If you think this is just another Gas Blowback with an after-market pistol carbine conversion kit, then you're mistaken. With the entire setup built by G&G, the result is a compact and ergonomic design without the need for clumsy workarounds to allow accessing switch-ware. Think a proprietary Apple MAC computer that is much better integrated than a PC which is put together by components from different manufacturers, requiring compromises in the user interface to make components work with each other. The SMC-9 is a well-integrated package that just works. For those of you who remember the MAGPUL FPG / FMG, the footprint and shooting experience is similar, except that this does not fold up into a flashlight box like the FPG.

When rebuilding the gun after splitting the lower and upper for cleaning make sure the hammer is down or it will get in the way. Simply push it down until it clicks, then rebuild the gun.
If you go to remove the flash hider please ensure you first unscrew the grub screw which secures the flash hider in place. Do not try and force the flash hider off or you can cause damage to the threads.
This gun performs best in semi-auto or short bursts any more than 4-5 rounds fired at once causes loss of range.
