The ARP556 3.0 by G&G is their third iteration of the popular G&G ARP556 series Airsoft rifles and is widely known as one of the best options along with the G&G ARP9 Series of AEGs when skirmishing in CQB scenarios, Speedsofting, and for being a great base gun to upgrade and build of off. This 3.0 version is based off of the G&G CM16 Series of AEG rifles which is well-known for being a solid AR-style entry-level Airsoft gun back in the day with the difference of having an enhanced MIG (MOSFET Integrated Gearbox) out of the box and a unique CHFS (Conductive Hinge Folding Stock) that allows this gun to be shot while the stock is folded, making it indeed a very unique AEG.
This Airsoft rifle has a lightweight polymer-constructed receiver for reducing the overall weight of the gun, a 5-inch rail, flip-up front and rear sights, and includes a 105-round mid-cap AEG M4-style magazine. The battery compartment can be found inside the butt portion of the stock, featuring a small Tamiya connector that can connect with 11.1v or 7.4v batteries. Internally, the gun runs on a version 2 MOSFET integrated gearbox (MIG) which houses G&G's 2nd generation ETU which features programmable 3-round burst firing mode and provides low voltage battery protection. The pistol grip houses G&G's Ifrit 25K short motor which provides powerful and efficient performance, allowing the gun to run as fast as you can pull the trigger!
Externally, the gun is very well built despite the polymer aspect of the receiver, with a full-length Picatinny rail up top, an ergonomic PDW-style pistol grip, full metal controls like the selector, magazine/bolt release, and charging handle, and lastly, QD sling points on the endplate as well as the butt portion of the stock for setting up slings.
