Description

The Kongsberg M1914, a Norwegian adaptation of the esteemed Colt 1911, served as the official service pistol for Norway from 1914 to 1985. Initially, Norway intended to adopt the Colt Military Model 1902; however, during field trials, the United States opted for the .45 ACP 1911 as its primary service pistol. Consequently, Norway decided to procure the 1911 for further evaluation. The Kongsberg was officially adopted in August 1914, replacing the M/1893 7.5mm Nagant revolvers. Although there was a delay in receiving American-made 1911s, it was later revealed that the pistol was produced by FN for the European market, leading to a contract with Colt and FN for local production at Kongsberg Vaapenfabrikk in Norway.

In replicating the Kongsberg pistol, FCW has faithfully created the M1914 as an airsoft variant, employing the Tokyo Marui 1911 GBB system for its internals. This airsoft pistol features trademarks and rollmarks from Kongsberg dated 1918, with FCW utilising the corrected stamped "11.25 m/m AUT. PISTOL M/1914" located on the left side of the slide. As a derivative of the 1911, it maintains the same aesthetics and features, with the addition of an extended slide release for improved ergonomics. Furthermore, being based on the Tokyo Marui 1911, its components are compatible with Marui aftermarket parts and utilise Marui-spec 1911 GBB magazines.
