In collaboration with Daniel Defense, Golden Eagle presents a replica of the DD Mk18 Mod 1. The Mk 18 represents a significant evolution in the Close Quarter Battle Receiver programme for the M4A1, designed to meet the demands of soldiers engaged in urban warfare, VIP protection, and other close-quarter combat scenarios. This rifle has gained recognition as a preferred choice among US special forces in the Middle East.
Golden Eagle meticulously replicates the rifle in its 10.5-inch configuration, featuring the distinctive Daniel Defense quad Picatinny handguard, which facilitates the attachment of various peripheral devices. The rifle is adorned with rollmarks, trademarks, and licensing from Daniel Defense, courtesy of EMG. It includes an ambidextrous selector for off handed shooting, an adjustable six-position buffer tube, and an ergonomic crane stock that can be tailored for the shooter's comfort. Additionally, the rifle is equipped with flip-up iron sights and a 14mm CCW outer barrel threading for the attachment of muzzle devices or tracer units.
At its core, the Mk 18 utilises the renowned WOC system, commonly employed by manufacturers such as VFC and GHK, making it familiar to shooters accustomed to this system. Golden Eagle asserts that a similar WOC-spec GBB magazine is compatible with their rifle. Components that typically experience wear, such as the bolt release, magazine release, and safety, are reinforced with steel, thereby extending the lifespan of this GE rifle. Furthermore, the rifle features an adjustable hop-up system, allowing for optimal shot placement and compatibility with various BB weights used by different shooters.
