CYMA AKs are highly praised for their build quality, reliability, and affordability. For the price point, this AK is mostly made of steel, with the exception of the outer barrel and the furniture, which is made of real wood making it really solid and is able to take a beating similar to the actual AK rifles.
The AKM was adopted by the Soviet Military in 1959 to replace the famous AK-47 Rifle as the AKM was made using a cheaper manufacturing process, instead of having a milled receiver, the AKM uses a stamp steel receiver. The AKM is the most manufactured AK variant and it has always been mistaken by popular media as the AK47 when it isn't.
The CYMA AKM is technically an AKMN as it has a dovetail side optics mount which the original AKM doesn't. This gun will take most electric airsoft AK magazines and it has a 14mm CCW threading allowing for different muzzle devices such as tracers units and suppressors.
