The FN Herstal FNS-9 is a striker-fired pistol that is based on the FN FNX pistols which was developed for the United States Joint Combat Pistol Program. The FNS has since seen service with a few law enforcement agencies in the United States.
The Cybergun FN Herstal FNS-9 Gas Blowback Airsoft Pistol by VFC is a 1:1 faithful replica of the real steel FNS 9 that is fully licensed by both FN Herstal and Cybergun. This gas airsoft pistol is green gas-powered and features ambidextrous controls, 2 different backstraps, and a trigger safety all in a compact package with a size similar to the Glock 19.
The gun is fully ambidextrous as the magazine release can be depressed on both sides, unlike some other models where you will have to physically swap the magazine release to the other side. Other than the magazine release, the slide release is on both sides as well, all this means whether you are a lefty or a righty, it doesn't matter as this airsoft pistol is right for all. The trigger safety on this gas airsoft pistol is similar to the one found on a Smith & Wesson M&P series of semi-automatic pistols where you will have to intentionally depress it for it to fire. Two different backstraps are included with this pistol, one with a straighter profile and the other with a more curved profile for different users.
