The CA CA416 is the latest iteration of the HK416D in its carbine configuration. Primarily based on the M4 Carbine, the H&K416 was a collaborative initiative between Guntuber Larry Vickers and Heckler & Koch, aimed at developing a carbine rifle for close-quarters combat in the 1990s. Featuring H&K's proprietary short-stroke gas piston system, it has become the standard rifle for the Norwegian Armed Forces, USMC, French Armed Forces, and the German Army. This iconic rifle was notably used in the hunt for Osama bin Laden by Seal Team 6 and the Irish Army Ranger Wing.
The CA416 is the shorter-barreled variant of the HK416D, designed with the right length to maneuver in tight, enclosed spaces. This allows for easy manipulation of the rifle in close quarters while still maintaining good accuracy in distant engagements with its polymer 10.4-inch barrel.
As a member of the Sportline series, the CA416 features popular modern upgrades that come standard, which previously required airsofters to consult a technician for upgrades or to purchase separately. The Nemesis series includes the following as standard:
