ARES OTs-14 "GROZA" GBB Airsoft Rifle Series
The OTs-14 Groza, which translates to Thunderstorm, is a highly adaptable Russian bullpup assault rifle. Developed in Tula during the 1990s, this weapon takes the proven internal mechanics of the AKS-74U and condenses them into a compact, specialized package. Engineers originally designed the system to replace standard compact rifles for elite Spetsnaz units. The primary model fires massive 9x39mm subsonic ammunition, though developers also created variants chambered in 7.62x39mm and a rare 5.45x39mm prototype to suit diverse tactical needs. The defining feature of the Groza is its extreme modularity. The trigger and pistol grip are part of a modular unit that can be swapped with an alternative unit that has an integrated 40 mm grenade launcher. When the grenade launcher unit is attached, the trigger controls both the grenade launcher and the rifle itself. Whether the rifle or grenade launcher barrel will be fired when the trigger is pulled is determined by the selector switch. The grenade launcher can use the same grenades used in the GP-25/GP-30.
Built for unpredictable combat scenarios, the rifle transforms quickly in the field. Operators can run it as a streamlined carbine, add a vertical foregrip, or attach a proprietary quick-detach suppressor for silent engagements. The integrated carrying handle features mounting points for red dot sights, long-range optics, and night vision devices. By combining heavy-hitting ammunition with a highly customizable bullpup frame, the Groza delivers devastating performance in tight urban environments.
The ARES OTs-14 Groza gas blowback rifle is a premium replica of the iconic Russian bullpup. To guarantee reliable performance on the field, the internal mechanics utilize a gas system heavily inspired by the highly efficient Tokyo Marui AK MWS architecture. This provides users with crisp, snappy felt recoil impulse and consistent cycling during intense engagements.
ARES built the exterior to endure heavy physical abuse. The primary receiver is made using tough and robust stamped steel, while the outer barrel, stock adapter, and critical fire control components also consist entirely of heavy-duty steel, giving the rifle a nice heft to it while being well balanced. Impact-resistant polymer furniture, like the pistol grip, surrounds this metal core, giving shooters a durable and comfortable gripping surface.
Running on standard green gas, the rifle includes an enhanced GBB magazine with a unique U-design BB channel, allowing the magazine to hold an incredible capacity of 75 rounds of 6mm BBs, all while the magazine is accurately replicated to depict the massive 9x39mm cartridge, 30-round magazine design. By merging heavy-duty steel construction with proven internal gas technology, this airsoft replica is an incredibly capable and realistic option for those who like to run Russian Forces Opposition (OPFOR) loadouts.
