The brand-new Artemis Gearbox is a passion project by APS Conceptions. This is not just about throwing the E-Shooter ETU and calling it new, as this is a proper, refined upgrade pack designed to improve the weakness of the Version 2 gearbox shell by redesigning it from the ground up and developing brand new molds to create the Artemis Gearbox.
The Artemis Gearbox is a reiteration of the standard version 2 gearbox, allowing for much-needed improvements on its structure and frame. It features CNC-machined reinforcement points at all four corners of the cylinder port to eliminate cracking, as it was a prominent weakness with standard V2 gearboxes, and has multiple reinforced areas throughout the shell, especially along the upper cylinder walls and front portion of the gearbox to facilitate the use of stronger springs and upgrade components that would normally crack standard gearbox shells under prolonged usage. However, nothing about the Artemis gearbox has been made proprietary, allowing the use of standard aftermarket components that are designed for the V2 gearbox. The shell also features the same smooth surface treatment as the older APS Silver Edge Gearbox, making things run smoother, especially when used in conjunction with MOS2 lubrication.
The Artemis Gearbox is also equipped with E-Shooter's latest ECU unit, the Kestrel, allowing the use of 11.1v Li-Po batteries out of the box. The Kestrel ECU also enhances the user's experience as it is programmable via its respective app. The Kestrel features optical sensors for the trigger and gears, allowing the user to tune the trigger response and sensitivity, and comes with various trigger modes like; AUG mode, Sniper mode, Binary mode, & Burst mode. It is fully compatible with a brushless motor for that super fast wind-up and comes equipped with pre-cocking and active brake, allowing the user to truly bring out the most of this advanced gearbox and its fully upgraded components. The Kestrel also features essential failsafes, which include short circuit protection, locked rotor protection, low/high voltage protection, and power-off safety protection, ensuring that your custom build will not be ruined over misfires.
