The MCX-SURG (Suppressed Upper Receiver Group) upgrade kit is designed to meet the highly specialized needs of USSOCOM field operatives. It was developed to deliver extreme "hands-down" performance for special operations units while maintaining high levels of accuracy and durability.
Specifically engineered as a drop-in upgrade for a standard M4A1 lower, converting any standard Mil-Spec AR rifle into a next-generation MCX. Utilizing SIG's advanced suppressor design, the MCX-SURG has been tested under Special Operations' harshest and most demanding conditions and has been proven to exceed even the most extreme durability, accuracy, and sound reduction standards.
The unique heat shield design of the MCX-SURG kit is meant to prevent burns while still allowing the operator to maintain high rates of constant fire.
The APFG MCX SURG Kit AR GBB Airsoft rifle series is a high-quality replica of the aforementioned rifle, featuring full, detailed markings on the upper, lower, and suppressor. The overall construction and build quality are nothing to scoff at. The rifle is primarily made using CNC-machined aluminum, giving it a strong yet lightweight, durable build. The SURG features all the same fire controls as one would expect, with the charging handle and fire selector being ambidextrous. The SURG-Kit comes with a full-length Picatinny rail up top for mounting optics and accessories, and is outfitted with the SURG SD series M-LOK handguard for complete modularity. The fire control group is made of steel and uses standard M4/AR components, while the bolt is made of Zinc but is reinforced with steel at high-stress points like the bolt catch ledge for added durability. It is compatible with VFC M4/AR V2/V3 green gas magazines, and comes with one 30-round green gas magazine out of the box. The SURG also comes with a high-quality replica of the MCX telescopic side-folding stock, allowing the user to easily transport the gun to and from Airsoft venues.
Shooting the gun feels really good, with the bolt cycling being snappy and pronounced with every shot. The trigger pull is very crisp, and the reset is very reactive, allowing for fast and accurate follow-up shots on semi-auto. The fire selector is nice to actuate, and you can really feel the recoil impulse when shooting full-auto. Overall, a great gun to have if you enjoy unique rifle set-ups and complete modularity for configurations.
